Have you ever played the game of Battleship before? Two people set up their boats on the game board and fire at each other until all their opponent’s boats are sunk. But you can’t see where they’ve set up their boats; that’s the catch.
At first, it’s a guessing game to find out where the other person has placed their boats on the board. The beginning shots are usually a “miss,” but by process of elimination, it soon becomes easier to detect their positions and score a “hit” on one of the boats. Eventually, there are moments where you know that you will score a hit on the next shot.
That game is a bit like the dating process for men. It’s also what we’re trying to shorten and eliminate as it relates to Christian women. Here, we’re making sure you know the “hit” locations for where those types of women are gathering – preferably without wedding rings.
Men, we all know that women are some of God’s most peculiar creations. Somebody, say “Amen!” But finding a Christian woman of virtue to wed is one of the most valuable things any man could ask for (Proverbs 31:10-12). Take the following suggestions seriously.
Go to a Christian Dating Website
In the digital age, Christian dating has planted its flag on the internet. It’s the best way in the world to meet local, single Christian women. Plus, it’s cheaper and easier than spending money on endless first dates.
Go to a Christian Church

Common sense.
There’s no punchline here. No really, churches are the most common sense locations for finding a Christian woman. It’s all good; brain farts happen. Sometimes it takes someone telling you what you already know to remind you that you already knew it.
But here’s something you might not know. Different churches foster different types of dating environments. One thing to immediately understand is that “different” doesn’t mean that there are better or worse types of church dating environments. One person’s “worse” might be your form of “perfect.” It all depends on what you are looking for and comfortable with.
Churchgoing Christian women attend either a large or small church. These different sizes foster different dating environments, but not every church will fit the pattern. Each church is unique and should be examined on a case-by-case basis.
Large Churches
Large churches have 1,000+ members in the congregation. Once churches start to climb over that membership mark, they usually have a “singles ministry” of some sort. That’s what you want to plug into!
This is where you’ll find Christian women also seeking Christian men. If there isn’t a readily available schedule for classes within the ministry, don’t be afraid to ask about it. Resourcefulness is the key to dating within large churches. Some churches don’t advertise these types of programs because they want to keep their attendance strictly to members of the congregation.
The advantage of this type of church is its size. There will be plenty of single Christian women at these places. However, it’s not without drawbacks. Everyone won’t recognize everybody, and the congregation will have a more formal feel instead of a friendly atmosphere.
Small Churches
Small churches usually have less than 1,000 members with 200 being the most common number. They usually won’t have a ministry for singles, but they might.
However, they make up for it with their deep knowledge of the congregation. They’ll immediately know if that pretty girl who was single a few months ago is still looking for a date or not. Familiarity is the key to dating within small churches. You must get to know the people in the congregation.
The advantage of this type of church is its congregational familiarity. These types of churches are known for having a family atmosphere where everyone knows everybody. These people will know the person you’re dating and make sure you’re treating her well also. Expect to see her father in attendance and be seated by him too.
Go to a Christian Bookstore
Where do you think all those churchgoing [and non-churchgoing] ladies go to buy their Bibles? That’s right, a Christian bookstore.
Most of these bookstores have some sort of weekly event that draws a small crowd of Christian people. This helps them bring in some extra income from the event, but it also provides you with an opportunity to show up for a reason without hanging around all day looking creepy…if you do that, you might find yourself face-to-face with a Christian policeman instead of a Christian woman, and that’s definitely not the kind of date you were looking for.
This is an unconventional but clever idea for finding a Christian woman serious about her faith. These places aren’t frequented by nominal Christians all that often, and the chances are good that you will find a Bible-believing woman who is dedicated to living her life in accordance with the principles of God.
Go to a Christian Meet-Up Group
The app store is full of various programs developed to help people meet up with groups. This is another avenue for finding a Christian woman to date.
Of these programs, the ones worth downloading will have a search feature. Search for keywords like “Christian” and “Jesus.” You can string these words together with other keywords like “Christian women” or “Christian singles” and “Jesus lovers.” Plug away until you find a group that interests you to meet with.
The point is to put in the effort and act on your faith. God sees you and your deepest desires. If they are noble and you commit yourself to the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4-5).
